A very typical French “Haute Couture” sportcar. This is the second version of the 4 cylinder DOHC Facel Vega engine, much more reliable than the first one (the first Facellias had a bad reputation of non-reliable engine. This F2B has received strong modifications of the cooling and oil systems : nothing to compare with the first version). N°F2B 417A. Complete history. The engine has been fully restored by a professional two years and 2000km ago :  </div> <div> lining, pistons, pistons rings, new, rod controlled, crankshaft trued, bearing new, cylinder head modified to comply with unleaded fuel, valves new, water pump and head exchanger new, clutch new, rear transmission new,  brake system new (4 disks). Inox exhaust. All this (expansive) work make the Facellia suitable for long range travel…:imagine the total cost of all this work !Inside : original red leather in a very good condition, superb instrument panel “wood like” painted, specific to the Facel Vega : there, it is in a perfect orig. condition. (The painting looks pretty (dark blue-green metallic), but the left bottom: not the floor, the 2cm high part under the doors) needs to be changed (little rust) (nothing really bad in this car with a separated chassis : it is not a structural part and this straight item is very easy to form). </div> <div> To be clear : good condition but some cosmetics to plan if the owner wants a really perfect car. 4 rudge wire-wheels included.  A strong personality 100% french car, very very nice to drive, very low-slung,extremely nice sound and with a unique very luxury interior. New mechanic The Facellia has been repainted about 10-15 years ago in an original Facel-Vega colour (they had started metallinc painting in the 50's !)</div> <bR> <div> We have made research in the original Facel Vega factory register (how to</div> <div> say , the production book ?) : we have found that this car has been produced</div> <div> as a Facellia 1rst version by the factory, few time before they launched the</div> <div> 2nd version with the more reliable engine. As they did not manage to sell it</div> <div> during this short period, they converted it into a Facellia F2b and then,</div> <div> they found a customer. All this history is wroten in the factory register,</div> <div> it is interesting to see that the production was quite artisanal at this</div> <div> time... It can also be seen that the original painting was with two colors</div> <div> : I don't reminber which ones, but the roof had a different color.
